Syntiant’s programmable neural decision processors (NDPs) can simultaneously support dozens of application-defined audio and keyword classifications, enabling developers to create custom, always-on speech user interfaces optimized for battery-powered devices. Other capabilities include speaker identification, audio event and environment classification, and sensor analytics.

“We are thrilled to partner with Infineon, one of the largest manufacturers of high-performance microphones and sensors, to develop a deep neural network-enabled AI mic,” said Kurt Busch, CEO of Syntiant. “Evaluation boards are available, and we are executing well on all fronts, from chip and software development to engaging with key customers for 2019 production.”

“We are excited to collaborate with Syntiant to combine its NDPs with our best-in-class microphones and sensors,” said Adrian Mikolajczak, Head of the Infineon Silicon Valley Innovation Center. “Working with Syntiant, whose technology offers a breakthrough in power and performance in edge AI computing, advances our commitment to deliver industry-leading solutions to our customers.”

Syntiant executives will also lead a discussion during Infineon’s OktoberTech 2018 Technology Collaboration Forum titled, “Beyond the GPU: How New AI Processors will Revolutionize the Edge.”
