With the summer transfer window, it is offers galore at Bayern Munich. Offers to buy, offers to sell and offers to extend all over the place, this is as happening as it can get for the club.

The man of the hour internally is Leroy Sané. The winger was signed in Summer 2020 for a €45 million base amount with add-ons. This five-year-deal has now come to an end and an extension seems highly unlikely, due to the influence of agent Pini “Piranha” Zahavi.

It was last heard that Sané was still open to staying at Bayern. He is comfortable with the club and the team, and the lack of interest from outside was a factor too, until recently. According to Bild’s Tobi Altschäftl, Turkish giants Galatasaray are now in the race for Leroy Sané.

The previous report mentioned a €10 million net amount without a bonus structure, which did not look as appealing, but the newest report mentions a €5 million additional amount. This might be an attempt to avoid having to provide a larger bonus structure with a higher base amount to begin with.

Galatasaray are pushing to sign Leroy Sané. The offer they submitted was worth €10m net per year, much higher than Bayern’s offer (€10m + €5m gross). Galatasaray coach Okan Buruk is a big fan of Sané and is determined to sign him. Buruk is pushing internally and driving forward the talks.

Ot should be noted that the €10 million net equates to approximately €16.5 million gross, which represents a significant increase over Bayern Munich’s offer. This proposal could set the table for any Premier League clubs looking to enter the fray.

With this, Galatasaray have now positioned themselves comfortably in the race to sign Sané. Other interested parties might start putting forth competitive offers — clubs from England are reportedly enquiring into a potential deal.
